Tyler’s Walk

Once an elite OHL prospect, Tyler McGregor’s career was abruptly altered when an in-game injury led to the discovery of an aggressive bone cancer in his leg that required amputation. His story jumped off the page, and the more research we did, we discovered how his pride, resilience and determination spoke to where we are as a country right now. Tyler’s story also perfectly encapsulated what Air Canada stands for, and what Canadians needed to hear.
 
The film focused on authenticity. Tyler’s Walk was executed as a single, cinematic film built around true moments from Tyler’s life. We recreated the hospital corridor—the hallway walk that marked the end of one dream and the quiet beginning of another—as a continuous, linear space, allowing Tyler’s Walk to unfold in front of the viewer.
